Phrasal verb là gì?

Phrasal verb là cụm động từ, được cấu tạo từ một động từ chính và một hoặc hai tiểu từ (còn được gọi là particles). Các tiểu từ này có thể là giới từ (preposition) hoặc trạng từ (adverb).

Công thức của phrasal verb tiếng Anh:

Cụm động từ (phrasal verb) = động từ (verb) + giới từ (preposition)/ trạng từ (adverb)

Tuy nhiên, mỗi khi kết hợp tiểu từ khác nhau thì phrasal verb sẽ có nghĩa khác biệt hoàn toàn so với động từ gốc của nó.

Phrasal verb đứng phía sau chủ ngữ trong câu và có chức năng như một động từ thông thường.

• Carry on: tiếp tục ➔ She carries on working even though she is sick.

Học phrasal verb cho học sinh lớp 6 – 9 ở đâu?

Trong các bài kiểm tra, đề thi tiếng Anh khối THCS, phrasal verb sẽ xuất hiện với tần suất cao. Học sinh thường được đánh đố trong các câu chọn đáp án, điền từ còn trống hoặc chọn cụm từ đồng nghĩa.

Như vậy, học sinh phải có vốn phrasal verb phong phú và đa dạng để dễ dàng ghi điểm. Nhưng với thời lượng học trên lớp bị giới hạn, con cần môi trường học tiếng Anh ngoài giờ giúp con trau dồi và luyện tập thêm.
